"Approach to Impressionism" Workshop
Michele Mitchell and Jim Ostlund have been invited to host a workshop near Charleston at the Perspective Gallery, in Mount Pleasant, SC, Sunday, March 8th, from 9:30 - 4, by the Mount Pleasant Artists’ Guild.
The workshop will involve each student using a photographic reference, transfer as a drawing initially on canvas, and proceed to block in, from the largest shapes to a refined finish. All are welcome, from beginner to advance in skill.

Yellow Ochre
Raw Umber
Ultramarine Blue
Alizarine Crimson
Light Red
Ivory Black
Cadmium Red Light (optional)
Cadmium Yellow Light (optional)
Viridian
Other Materials Needed:
Canvas Panel or stretched canvas: 8 x 10 or 9 x 12
Turpenoid (Turpentine Substitute)
Brushes: Briston Rounds or Filbert: Numbers 2,4,6,8
Sable: Numbers 2 and 4
Palette
Palette Cup
Palette Knife
Paper Towels (Viva)
Brush Washer (or Jar with Lid)
